As we seek to fulfill our mission by carrying out our vision, we value worshiping God, doing life together in fellowship, becoming more like Jesus, giving of our time, talent, and treasure, serving as a part of the ministry of this church, and reaching those who need Jesus outside these four walls. We accomplish these things through the faith steps taken by the Covenant Partners and outside Vision Partners of Crossover Community Church.

Worship

Exalting God In His Way
Someone accepts Christ, they are justified, their sins are forgiven, and their first privilege and ability is to come to the throne of God in Worship. They come with thankfulness and joy over their newfound life in the Salvation that has been granted to them through Jesus. Worship, combined with prayer, is what we are to do every moment of our lives. Keeping this awake in our lives is how believers in Jesus are strengthened and are able to open their hearts and minds to God, and glorify Him through the things that we do in our everyday lives. Worship is not just singing or playing an instrument. However, music does help to open us up spiritually and emotionally. Worship is bringing Glory to God with how we act every moment of the day.

Fellowship

Doing Life Together
Next, believers in Jesus should be growing in the family of God through Fellowship with one another. The primary times to do this are spending time with each other during our Sunday morning worship services, and during LifeGroup times during the week. Other ways to grow fellowship amongst believers, is to live life together, to grow deep friendships and to take care of one another.

Discipleship

Becoming More Like Jesus
Third, we should be growing in Discipleship as a disciple of Jesus Christ and being daily sanctified (Sanctification: the process of the Holy Spirit teaching us and making us more Christ-like). This happens through daily time alone with God, through the hearing of the Word of God in the messages that are taught during Sunday morning worship, and through our LifeGroups as we live life together, and study the Bible and the discipleship studies that we may be working through. Discipleship happens in us as individuals, through our personal relationship with God, and through the relationships that we build with other believers in Christ.

Generosity

Giving Of My Time, Talent, and Treasure
Fourth, God has Generously given us all wonderful things. He allows us to live fulfilling lives, stewarding the things that he has given us. We are called to take care of the things we have, make time for the growth of God's Kingdom, allow our talents to be a benefit to the church, and to generously give back a portion of the financial blessing that God has given us. As we pour these things into the church, we play a role that no one else can play. As unique individuals, we are the only ones who can be who God has called us to be as a part of the Body of Christ. We give of our time, talent, and treasure as an act of worship so that God will be glorified, and the Body will be grow and be lifted up.

Ministry

Serving As A Part Of This Church
Fifth, disciples of Jesus should be serving one another and helping to grow the Kingdom of God. That is Ministry. Every person in Christ Jesus has a set of Spiritual gifts that is specific to them, that they should be using to edify, to lift up the church, the Body of Christ. Crossover Community Church believes that every person that is a part of the Body is a minister. This means that we need to be ministering to one another as disciples of Jesus, and helping to form the Church, the Kingdom of God. When we minister together, it facilitates growth. This can look like counseling with someone, prayer, overall church attendance and involvement, and serving in some capacity, such as working with Campus Safety, the Worship Team, Host Team, Children's Ministry or Youth, or any other area of helping to facilitate the weekly functions of the church.

Mission

Reaching Those Who Need Jesus
Lastly, as believers in Christ Jesus, we are called to a Mission! Matthew 28:19-20 is the Great Commission, and it tells us that we are to go and tell the rest of the world about Jesus! Our mission field starts here in Anderson, SC, and reaches to the ends of the world. We are going to strive to fulfill that mission! As a part of the Body of Christ, once a believer has begun living a life of worship, are growing in fellowship with other believers, seeking to grow deeper as a disciple, stewarding well the things that God has given them, and is serving the Church and others, it's a natural desire to spread the Gospel to those who may not know Him.
